Canara Bank Apprentice Salary in Hand

Canara Bank has invited online applications from eligible candidates to fill up 3000 vacancies for Engagement of Graduate Apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 for FY 2024-25 through Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2024. The candidates will be selected for the post based on the marks/percentage obtained in the 12th Std (HSC/10+2)/ Diploma Examination followed by document verification and a test of the local language. As per the official notification, a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000/- (including subsidy amount, if any, by Govt. of India) shall be paid to the selected apprentice during the apprenticeship period.

However, they are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits. Canara Bank will also make a payment of 10,500/- into the apprentice’s account on a monthly basis. With this, the Government share of the stipend of Rs 4500 will be directly credited to the apprentices’ Bank account through DBT mode as per prescribed guidelines.

Canara Bank Apprentice Salary: Job Profile & Period of Training

The aspirants engaged as apprentices will not be considered “employees” of the Canara Bank and will not be entitled to receive any benefits which are applicable to bank employees. The period of apprenticeship training will be one year as per the official notification. The on-the-job training will be provided to the aspirants at the selected branches according to the course/curriculum. The Apprentice shall be provided Job Training (OJT) during working hours as provided to the clerical cadre of the Bank.

Canara Bank Apprentice Salary: Allowances

Apart from the Canara Bank Apprentice Salary, the selected apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/benefits. However, the apprentice shall be eligible for One Casual Leave upon completing one month of Apprenticeship and a total of 12 CLs in a year. No other type of leave is admissible for the posts of Apprentices. The selected apprentice can use only 4 casual leaves at a time. Leave accumulated, if any will automatically get exhausted upon the termination/completion of the contract. The selected apprentice will get all such holidays that are observed in the Bank where they are attending training.
